Voter REgistration

Our signature project, ColumbiaVotes envisions a future where every eligible Columbia undergraduate is registered to vote and is an active participant in our electoral democracy. In 2018, our registration tables in high-traffic areas on campus reached hundreds of students.

GeneraL BOdy Meetings

As an officially-recognized student organization, ColumbiaVotes holds weekly general body meetings. These meetings are open to all students and will be used to design future initiatives as well as discuss a variety of voting rights topics.

Democracy Challenges

As the name implies, Democracy Challenges capture the competitive spirit of intercollegiate athletics and applies it to civic participation. In 2018, ColumbiaVotes organized a Democracy Challenge between Columbia’s Greek Life organizations and awarded the on-campus chapter with the highest voter turnout that year. ColumbiaVotes plans to play a leading role in an inter-Ivy League Democracy Challenge ahead of 2020.
